Our Background
The Breast Reduction UK group was developed by a surgeon who wanted to provide this operation for patients who really need it.
This founding surgeon has performed this operation regularly in the NHS and in private hospitals. He has an excellent record in providing good cosmetic results as well as improving the quality of life of patients who were suffering from symptoms of excessively large breasts (macromastia).
Over the past few years, NHS has declined to provide funding for this operation due to its limited resources. In the private hospital, the price of having this operation by plastic surgeons is exorbitant – often at least £10,000 which was out of reach of most people.
Faced with the dilemma of continued suffering from macromastia and the affordability issue, many women sought to have this operations abroad, namely in Turkey. They are lured by its cheap operation prices which were often packaged with attractive holidays. Unfortunately, some of these women have fallen victim to unscrupulous, inexperienced surgeons in Turkey. There have been many patients who often return to the UK with botched operations which left them with distressing wound complications and poor cosmetic outcomes.
The founding surgeon has seen many of these women returning from abroad with botched operations. He has also studied the practices of these surgery-abroad services which he disagrees with. He advises women who are considering this operation not to go abroad, as it poses too many risk to the patient and is not worth the savings.
Instead, he has developed Breast Health UK as a safe, affordable and reliable option for patients who need this operation.
your Surgeon
He is an experienced oncoplastic breast surgeon who is based in in north London and Hertfordshire. He has been working in the NHS for the past 11 years and has an impressive record in performing this operation.
His training includes formal Higher Surgical Training in the Southwest London area and has been trained by many famous surgeons in London and greater London. He achieved his Certificate of Completion of Training from the GMC in 2012 and has been a consultant surgeon in the NHS since 2013. He has also trained abroad in fellowship training in France and Germany.
